Hand writing the word affirmation on black chalkboard
Just as house is built in stages, it is the foundation that allows the structure to stand firm.
Affirmation is a part of every relationship foundation.
Affirmation is saying what needs to be heard. It’s not about assuming everything is good, it’s making a decision to say it anyway.
The biggest encouragement when affirming someone is to be truthful, even if that truth stings a little. There is nothing worse than saying one thing about someone but really believing another.
This week your challenge is to affirm those in your family, your work, in your community. Really affirm them. Build them up. Encourage them to rise to the compliment.
Verse of the week:
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.
