A fence is a structure that encloses an area, yet does not have a solid foundation along it’s whole length.
Let’s look at this image in a way that can help us see that the decisions we make need a true and solid foundation.
We have all at some point found ourselves sitting on the fence.
The truth is for many of us, the fence has somehow became a resting place that we have leaned on and have had to learn that because of its lack of solid foundation, the fence is not where we want to stay.
What is that fence for you?
The challenge this week is to get off the fence.
Make the decisions that need to made no matter the cost – we can’t afford not to.
As a light, we cannot hide from the darkness; instead, we must be willing to shine bright the love, hope and compassion that has first been shared with us.
Every decision matters, and the decisions we make today will determine the stories we tell tomorrow.
God, may we have the courage and strength to respond with an ‘all-in’ decision to go wherever you lead.
Verse of the week
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
