One step at a time.

In the 2006 movie facing the giants the head football coach wanted to prove to the high school team what they were capable of. During one of the practices the coach had a player do a routine called the death crawl (where one player would have to carry another player down the field on their back as far as they could without their knees hitting the ground). This was a difficult exercise to say the least, but the coach knew if he could get the player to push through the pain and not give up, he would go further than anyone thought possible. The coach told the player he thought he could make it to the 50 yard line, but he player did not think this was possible so the coach blindfolded him and asked for one thing – to give his best.

Not only did the player make it to the 50 yard line, he made to the complete opposite end of the field.

Every obstacle that we face can be overcome one step at a time.

The challenge this week is to give our best from the moment we wake up to the moment we go to sleep. Do not take this lightly. Our best means our everything.

Our thoughts and decisions are the steps that get us closer to the touchdown.

Our Prayer

God, help us to be intentional in everything we say and do.

Verse of the week

Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken.

Psalm 55:22
