Access Point | 1537 | Have To vs Get To

concept of hard work

This week let’s look at everyday as a ‘Get to’.

We don’t have to get up in the morning, we get to get out of bed in the morning. We don’t have to go to work, we get to go to work. The way we look at these everyday occurrences will determine how productive we become.

There are times when we must do things that are hard for now, but that doesn’t mean forever.

We recently received a story about an incredible man who had been out of work for a while. This began to weigh heavily on him as he wanted to provide for his family. A friend of his noticed a place was hiring and got an application for him. This job was not the most attractive or highest paying given this mans qualifications, however it was a job. This job was not meant to be the end. This job was a ‘Get To’ until the next door opened.

We must be willing to do whatever it takes to keep moving forward and even if we fall, we fall forward.

The challenge this week is to gain a bit more appreciation in that we Get To work, that we Get To learn, that we Get To serve, that we Get To live with freedom. That is amazing!

Hold your head high this week and walk in the truth that you are fearfully and wonderfully made, and know that God can make ALL things work together for good.

Even when what comes our way is hard and seems impossible to get through, remember that your track record for getting through bad days and what you thought were impossible circumstances is 100%.

Verse of the week:

Romans 8:28

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
