Have you ever heard that the grass is greener on the other side?
Why do we find ourselves searching for what seems to be better or envy other’s and their belongings? This week the challenge is simple: WATER YOUR OWN GRASS. (i.e. your family, friends, work, etc)
The grass is greener where people take the time to take care for it.
We are under construction. We are not a finished product, and the greatest news is that the One who knows us best desires to complete the great work that has already begun in us.
Don’t give up! Let’s start with our attitude and the way we look at ourselves. You are a son/daughter, friend, spouse, father/mother, mentor, leader, and believer. You are a gift!
Make time this week to invest (water – give life) to those closest to you. Sacrifice something that you may want to do, and do what they would love to do with you. Read that again. Sacrifice something that you may want to do, and do what they would love to do with you. Even if it means cancelling something, it is a worthy change in the calendar.
Forgiveness, Patience, Prayer, the words I’m sorry and of course the phrase ‘what can I do to help’ will be required for this Access Point.
Now Go! May your life and those around you be a shinning light for the world to see.
Verse of the week:
Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interest of the others.
