If you knew that what you believed in would cost you your life, would you remain faithful?
This is your invitation. An invitation to the most elaborate yet personal collision of love. For God so loved the world… a love that goes beyond status and accomplishment, success and failure. At the core of this obsession rests the reality of how much we mean to God.
Our response to that love is where the invitation is found. The cross that we are being invited to carry is a worthy reflection of the same cross that was carried for each of us. In this sacrifice we find joy in sorrow and hope in despair. The cross is the invitation where we find our purpose and our place.
This week as you carry the cross that is before you, the challenge is to carry it with a heart of forgiveness, service and most of all love.
As we reflect on this Holy Week, may we unite our joy and suffering with the one who has made a way for every person to experience what life is really all about.
Will you remain faithful?
Verse of the week:
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
